Guess who turned 1 !?!

I can't believe that it's already been a year since we welcomed little Eli.  We celebrated his first birthday this weekend and I couldn't help but be grateful for all of Gods blessings. 


When I get caught up in the things of this life and of this world, I tend to forget to stop and thank God for His many blessings.  I forget to thank Him for blessing me with 2 wonderful step-daughters and 2 wonderful sons.  I forget to thank Him for all of our wonderful family memories.  I forget to thank Him for giving my husband and I the skills and abilities to provide for our family.  I forget to thank Him for loving me and for caring to know me and for always taking perfect care of my heart. 

So I took a moment this weekend to be grateful and it was such a refreshment to my soul.  I am so grateful for my children, for my husband, for my home, for my freedom, for my friends and for so many other things.  God used Eli's birthday party to remind me that no matter what challenges may come, He will always provide and His grace is sufficient.  The rest, well, that's just gravy.  Thank you God for all the gravy in my life. 

Oh, and thank you Grandma for making Eli's little birthday cake.  It was so much more special than any old frilly, store-bought cake.
