Favorite Christmas Traditions Series: Must-Watch Christmas Movies

We are big movie fans in my family.  We enjoy snuggling up and immersing ourselves in a good movie.  So naturally, Christmas movies are always included in our activities and many have become tradition.  We usually watch the shorter ones on a weeknight and the longer ones on a weekend evening, and always with hot cocoa.

We have come to own most of the movies on our list, but for the ones we don't own, we check the cable listings and record them on the DVR, or we rent them through Netflix or check them out at the local library for free.

This is a list of my family’s must-see Christmas Movies:

And here’s a list of other great movies that we try to fit in:
Die Hard (My husband INSISTS that this is a Christmas movie)
Gremlins (My son thinks this is a Christmas movie since it’s set during Christmas, boys…)

  1. I love this series! We love Christmas movies as well. Tonight Charlie Brown Christmas will be on television - I believe on abc at 8pm. It is definitely one of my favorites, and now our kids look forward to watching it as well :)

    1. Did you know that Charlie Brown Christmas has aired on television every year since 1964? Isn't it great to share these memories and pass on even silly things from generation to generation! :)

  2. I have about a zillion on my list, but you covered the best ones. I also Like Frosty the Snowman, White Christmas, the Garfield special, and this one called Mr. Willowbys Perfect Tree that was on TV one year, so my mom recorded it, but now I can't find it anywhere...

    1. I forgot about Garfield! I haven't seen that one in a looong time and will have to make and effort to watch it this year. Glad to see another Christmas movie lover! :)
